Merryy Christmasss!!! Happy holidays! Season greetings!
*huggles all*
yah..this is my somekind of a winter/x-mas/hybrid-pic.
I drew this about errr....few weeks ago and been avoiding colouring this, started this even then, but finished this tonight, just a minute ago.
And please don't point out my horrid colouring mistakes. I haven't coloured with computer in aaages. I lack the concentration and patience and eye for doing it and only thing I like in this colouring is the nose.
But hopefully it doesn't look as awfull to you. Ehh..it's the thought that counts, eh? or something....
And I'm not going to colour this again, since I'm really not in the mood for 'puter colouring. I think I'll stay with markers forever.
BUT! to the point!! Have a happy holidays and all!
i really live the shirt. nice feeling of ice. i like how intricate it is. reminds me of 18'th centery cloathing. and he is smiling. that is really nice. i also enjoy the bg and those clock gears as if linking the idea of time and winter. almost makes me wonder if the setting is real or if it is what he is seeing in his mind. the wach as allways is a nice touch.

This loooks greaaat ^______^ Me likies the colors and the bg is my favorite Those snowy things looks like I could eat them Okaay, I have to admit that the character is cute and sweetlooking little prince! The minus is that he's an Ice Prince X_x; Me no like ice. COLD!
I too think that the face and the background is the best coloration in this piece, you did the details and everything so well! I love the original lineart under this fine colouring job, and don't you whine that you can't colour when you really can! Grr!!! *shakes fist in front of your face*
But some little tips!
Remember when I said to you about dropping the bursh oppacity to 20%-40% so that the colour blends well? You could have use the oppacity dropping on the cloath so that the colour would blend as well it blends in his skin. Now the material looks a teenytiny bit off from the rest of the picture, as the background too is really well blended and the colours blends together smootly and damn fine. Same goes to the little shadowing areas on his skin, and I mean those purple shadows. You could've have blend them too, by using both of the colours, first the purple, and then blend it with the skin colour. Don't blend with darker colour, it makes the skin look smudgy, but here it doesn't at all. The skin is really gorgeous and I love that nose and his cheeks too!
Other tip, use several colours on the fabric. His trousers looks grey, okay you wanted that, but if you would've have put for example a little bit of the skin colour to the trousers too, it would make it look more 3-D and not just grey fabric which has no shadows or neither higlights. You can ALWAYS colour in Open Canvas lighter colour on top of the darker, and trust me, it works and makes it look more lively.
When I said those, I didn't say that you did wrong or anything, I just gave you some nice tips, because I really hope that you will continue colouring with OC, as you are really good with it! Practise makes us better, even more practise makes us pro! : D
Happy holidays to you too, and very very lovely and wamr christmas time! No stress, no yelling and no fighting with family, just eating the ham xD
Thank you. ^_^
I really tried to stick all kinds of details in it..xD I should've carried on to the pants, too, but I got lazy in the lineart too..^__^;;
